Content ID basically means that the license of your song will be created on YouTube. If someone uses your song, a copyright claim will be made on its video and whatever revenue is generated from it will go to you because the license of the song is yours. Content ID works like this

 

In the regular plan, content ID is enabled on all songs. If you want to turn it off, correction support is provided on our website. You can submit your request there and your content ID will be turned off within one week Business days

 

If you enable content ID from our plan and use it somewhere else and generate revenue from it, then we will not give you its revenue at all. Please keep this thing in mind

Generating revenue from someone else’s content is an illegal act, we do not accept it at all, we are very strict about this

If you use your song in other’s content, YouTube will soon turn off your content ID and the distributor will not have any responsibility in it because it hurts YouTube’s policy.
